Brenda Frost has never been considered an athlete. A dancer in high school and after, she slowly fell out of the habit. After her breast cancer diagnosis in 2009, Brenda decided to take charge and get back into healthier habits. She found a local group, Team Survivor NW, and started walking with her teenage daughter. In 2010, Brenda walked her first half marathon. In 2011, she completed two additional half marathons, still walking the 13.1 miles. In 2012, she decided to kick it up a notch and did the Danskin Triathalon. Now she is hooked and is working on her biking . Thriving for Brenda is about taking charge of your life and your health and believing that you can do anything at any age. Brenda, now 50+++, with a now grown daughter, lives with her husband and balances activity and work.
